Back home

It is nice to be back home and also not nice.
We are torn between two worlds.

But Sintra is magic. And now all dressed in fairy-lights...

BUT:

I think I am having the Christmas blues.
I miss Germany, my mom, my brother, my grandparents.
I miss the familiar scent of home, the feeling of security, safety, (in German there is word for this feeling, it is called GEBORGENHEIT. Geborgenheit is sooooo much more than safety, security...
It is safety, security, well-being, sanctuary all wrapped up with warmth, kindness and love and heaps of chocolate flakes on top) which only the arms of a mother seem to be able to give to such extend. There must be a primal instinct, ever prevailing in us humans. Children forever in need of hugs and cuddles. Sadly too many adults close the door to this secret energizing chamber. It is there for us, always, to recharge our batteries, our souls. Best of all - it is for free.
It is called LOVE

Before I get way too sentimental,  will just turn off this machine and light up a good fire.
Some wine and tear-pushing movies and my sorrows, hopefully, will be forgotten.
After all, it is CHRISTMAS.
MERRY is the word!
